Thank you Julie and Susan - I loved the mashing of words for this piece as βwalkβ and βfallβ just werenβt enough to speak to the sacred beauty of this invitation.
You have been teaching me how to bird for a long time from your poems. You also been teaching me how to dog and lots of other things. Thank you, Professor and friend!
This feels less like a poem about birds and more like a lesson in paying attention. I especially loved the gentle progression from seeing to naming, and from naming to belonging. Sometimes wonder begins exactly where we learn to slow down. Thank you for this beautiful piece.
Antonio - thank you for sharing your thoughtful reflection and noticing the progression. I am learning the gifts that slowing down can give. π»π»π»

Since I was a child!
Lucky you, I started birding in my 40βs. Since then, Iβve always wondered how it would have changed my life had I started as a child.
Just beautiful, Holly! Thank you. I, too, join words together: wrensong, heartmind and others.
Thanks Amrita - itβs fun and in this case, helped to set the tone π
